Centre Parks Marketing Call - Rant!

I never like just hanging up on marketing calls if I entered a competition and usually listen to what they say and explain my reasons why I wont be taking up such and such - usually they are fine.
I just had a call from someone having entered a center parks competition on facebook, trying to get me to buy life insurance. He could hear the toddlers bickering, but he kept pushing on. I said I couldnt afford it - which I honestly cant (would love to if I could). He then was going on about how cheap it was and it would be about £15 a month and that I could afford that, to which I said no, then he said you CAN afford £10 to which I said no.....How rude and presumptuous, he then started going on about having to make sure that the LO would be ok if anything bad were to happen (I dont need to be made to feel guilty I cant afford it)...anyway the kids started bickering and I hung up.........I just feel  hate marketing calls like that, just take no for an answer!

Was the competition being run by CP or was it just the prize was a CP break?
I suspect the latter so the marketing call is down to whoever was running the competition, by the sounds of it an insurance company.0 -
Wow nightmare.0

I had this last week and ended up hanging up on him and blocking the number too as he kept going on and on that he could get my life insurance cheaper, even though he had no idea what I pay and the level of cover I get!
I told him 4 times i was driving (on hands free) and couldn't speak and he still kept on and on so I hung up on him!0 -
A life insurance saleswoman once asked me:
"Without life insurance, how could you live with yourself if you died?" :rotfl:0 -

I just tell them no-one will give me life insurance...Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0

Let me guess "Bon Accord" -- they are on the MSE Spam List
It will be this comp
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5395107
Their T&C's do state .... "By clicking “Send” you confirm that you are happy to be contacted by telephone from Bon Accord Life to confirm your entry and find out about the services we can offer. We will not pass your details on to any unauthorised third parties and your personal information is secure."Yes, I know there is no "R" in the word dream in my username - it was setup in memory of my grandson :A0 -
That's good, so it's a "Bon Accord" Marketing call, nothing to do with Center Parcs and they are already on the spam list0
-
Yep - here is the one the OP probably entered via (as they said Facebook)

Still takes you to the website to enter though where it does say they will contact you0 -
I have my home phone on silent. Everyone who knows me knows to contact my mobile. On my mobile I ignore numbers I don't know, Google them and when they're ultimately spammy add them to my "Divvy Callers" list. Except I don't use the word "Divvy".Why do mice have such small balls?
Because so few of them can dance.0
