  • I've been wondering about selling a few of my things to a shop rather than ebay. Not had much success with clothes on ebay but I have some nice items... party season and all. Not plucked up the courage though :o

good luck with the clothing sales. Some years ago worked close to a dress agency - so I learnt that it is brilliant if you are a common size and have nice items and they are season relevant - so great time for party dresses is now - and winter coats and so on. Condition is absolutely key, and yes, they do fetch more than on ebay. Also be clear if you want the stuff back if it sells or not, the ones I knew would only have the stuff in store for a few weeks and if it didn't sell would expect it collected or to give it to a charity shop for you. The only exceptions they would make to that rule were seriously good designer labels that the were selling for top dollar.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    My thoughts exactly!
Some great information, thank you Watty. I hadn't thought about what happens after or the timeframe for selling. I'm trying to think when I would be able to get there at the moment.

It's been a very stressful week. An email came through about a field that we initially dismissed. However after going to see it and thinking about it, decided to put an offer in. We are now waiting to hear (not something I'm particularly good at!!!).

in the meantime, sooooooo much to do
  • So much paper shredded today, bags and bags of it!!

I've not done much else, but I have cleared an awful lot of space.

I did also set up an alert on 3camels for a shampoo I use and a few bits of business admin. It's been a quiet day.

Shredding paper and clearing space is *very* good! Breathing, walking about, even cleaning, they're all easier :):):)

  • Makes it easier to find things too! It certainly makes me feel a bit calmer.

  • Thank you Watty, we are very excited. If they accept our offer it will mean a lot of changes for us as we will have to move as well (it's too far to get to on a daily basis). I've already checked out houses on Rightmove and Zoopla !!! There is also the minor detail of needing to finish the renovation here......all perfectly doable. I feel lots of lists are coming!
  • fingers crossed for you :)

  • :T :T our offer has been accepted :T:T

While we are waiting for everything to go through with the purchase we are going to get as much done to this house as we can so we can get it up for sale in the Spring.

I really cannot believe we have managed to get to this point already.:j
