Lost prize!!

Hi i was wondering if someone can advise me how i can make sure that this doesn't happen again.

On the 23rd December i was informed by facebook message that i had won £30 Halfords voucher with Halo Insurance. They asked me to email my details to them and they gave me a email address.

I emailed them 2 hours after the notification and also replied to the facebook message informing them that i had emailed them my details.

On the 13th January i thought i would chase this up, i had no reply to my emails and direct messages on Facebook.

I sent a further email yesterday and today i had a reply :-

I apologise for the delayed response. Unfortunately I did not receive your email back in December therefore had to contact another winner as I didn’t hear from you – I’m extremely sorry for the mix up and hope you will continue to enter our competitions in the future.

I'd email them a screenshot of the email you sent to them in December. It's not your fault that they didn't read/notice the email you sent per their instructions.

I agree you have proof that you sent the email within the correct time limit, so surely it's a fault on their part.

Thanks for the replies I have taken a screenshot and will email them tomorrow I suspect I will have no reply!! hopefully fingers crossed another win will follow shortly.
