Contact lenses becoming expensive ...

Hi all,
For the last few years I've been wearing daily focus lenses nearly every day for 8-12 hours a day. This has been costing about 25 a month from tesco with free check ups and eye test.
My lenses have now been discontinued and the new ones are more expensice, one eye I am using toric lenses, which are 40 a month. Overall I will now have to pay over 30 a month.
I think the lenses are great and don't notice I have them in, but am slightly uncomfortable with the cost.
Is there any alternative?
Cheers

So you pay 16 a month... Also for daillies?

I'm wondering whether to change to monthly ones but I had those before and rarely got a whole month out of a pair. Nice to have new ones each day. Although wasteful?
Failing that I could try and get used to glasses? Don't mind the rimless ones so much.
Don't fancy laser surgery, which my dad reckons I should do.
  • Lenses-contact.co.uk still has many focus dailies in stock.
Also try Dailies Aquacomfort Plus, regular and toric, and you'll pay less than £30
  • If you wear them ever da have you thought of monthlies? I have Specsavers most expensive ones due to astigmatisms in both eyes and the cost me £18 including checkups and eye tests and a pair of glasses ever two years.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

It is the aqua comfort plus I am looking at from tesco 40 a month the toric and 25 a month the standard ones .

Had monthlies before and I would always have a problem at some point with a sense drying out or getting scratched, I was using more than I should have been .

I buy my monthlies off the internet too and they cost me £50 including delivery for 6 months. My eye test is free through work so this is much cheaper for me. I buy them off getlenses.co.uk

Just looked on topcashback and there's 10% for new customers. They've also changed their name to visiondirect.co.uk
