BT'd Loan Balance to Egg Money & Pay-Off Loan! DONE!

I just paid off my loan balance of £4900 (7.9% apr) by balance transferring to an old credit card.

I had a limit of £3200 on an old Marbles card I hadnt used for some time and it was sat in my wallet with a £0 balance. I rang them up with cancellation in mind, only to be offered a bt deal of 2.9% apr for 6 months with a 1% bt fee.

The snag then laid with my credit limit which wouldnt cover the loan...after explaining this they bumped me to £5500

Jobs a good-un

PS, Id already tried for an &more card, but the limit wasnt high enough, and I didnt fancy applying for another card straight away because itll probably affect my credit rating :(

...after 5 months Ill start looking for a 0% BT Card and get it on there...at least Im loan free anyhoo

Heres hoping you all think the boy 'dun good...Im quite pleased with the situation anyway

hope you get another CC with a 0% deal before the 6 months are up. What does the APR go up too on the marbles card if you fail to BT it another card, as 7.9 was not too bad on the loan you transfered.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Im quietly confident of getting a card in 6 months...after the intro rate the Marbles is 14% at the mo

...they said I could transfer to another card and then back to Marbles at the end of the 6 months and get the same deal again. I suppose I could take them up on this should all other routes fail
