CCJ - 6 Years Today.

Options
Hi all,

I had a CCJ applied to my account on 26/01/2010 for £3922. So it is now officially six years today. Will this now automatically disappear from my credit report? Noddle don't have an update for me for about 18 more days but I am just trying to find out if I am finally free from having a CCJ or is there something I need to do in order to make it happen?

Kind Regards,

It should automatically be dropped, yes.

  • Thank you for the response.

So if I pay for my credit check on call credit/experian/equifax tomorrow it will no longer be there? Reason I ask is I have applied for a rental property and surprisingly I'm being asked for a guarantor when previously they didn't need one, they've cited the CCJ as the reason which baffles me as I've had it six years. They have said they would change this if I provide proof it is no longer on my credit file.

Experian certainly drop them off 6 years to the day. Midnight tonight in this case.

The others CRAs are not always as timely with some things, so I would not like to make any 100% guarantees.
