  • We went through a broker and got an offer via Halifax - I think each case is a bit different but we had to provide P60 for me, new contract for hubby (he was just about to start a new job), bank statements for hubby - he banks with Barclays, I didn't need to provide them and the broker thought this was because I bank with Lloyds which is a part of them? We also had to provide the usual id which was passports and driving license each and confirmation that I get full pay on maternity leave as I am 5 weeks away from having a baby.

We have just sent an application with halifax, we had to have 3 months bank statements even though we bank with halifax, 3 months payslips each, passport & driving license.
  • We also went through Halifax, via a broker, below is the list of paperwork we submitted. It might seem excessive but we had an acceptance within a few hours and avoided the long winded process of going back and forth with various document requests:

    • Proof of ID for all applicants (Passport or D/Licence & Green counterpart)
    • Proof of Address for all applicants (Bank Statement/Utility Bill - must be dated within the last 3 months)
    • Last 3 Months Payslip and P60
    • Last 3 months Bank Statements for all accounts for all applicants - must show salary credits / or dividend income going into account (internet statements are sufficient)
Please ensure the transactions cover a full 3 month period – e.g. Nov 10th to Feb 10th
    • Proof of deposit (savings statement confirming balance in bank account)
    • Reservation Form (If new Build)
    • Details of any sick pay from your employer (I just submitted a printout of an email from my Manager)
  • Have you gone through a broker or direct?

You should have been told exactly what paperwork is required as each case is different.
