£42.11 spent on petrol but £1.10 was on a galaxy and chewing gum. Bought all that fruit and then buying chocolate....it was needed. Payday isn't until Thursday so doubt this will last but you never know...should be extra £10 max if not.
Miscalculated dog walking as the last week can fall into Septembers budget, so I now need £50 for that. Also found £15 in my purse hidden away forgot I had taken out extra cash for airport but never used it and have £3 in change so maybe that plus another £20 if I'm careful will get me by with food until pay day....
And....forgot that DS owes me £20 that I gave him last week. As much as I don't take money from kids for the hotel that they think they live in where the food fairies fill the fridge and cupboard I won't just be giving him money when he has a full time job so when he offers me it back on pay day (or when reminded!) I'm taking it!
All of the above would mean I come in at -£160.34 slightly better than -£212.00 xxStarting debt £18,675.63

Nothing to report today, no spend day so far. Going to visit my mum in hospital later this evening and will need to get something to take with me. She was rushed in last night with pains in her chest but is now all under control and being kept in for a few days for observations.
Tonight I really need an early night, not used to the early rises after time off!! xxStarting debt £18,675.63

Glad your mum is doing ok...what a scare for you all
So envious of your ability to not have loads of stuff! If you saw my house you'd have a shock...there's so many random odds and ends in drawers and on sides. I'm always on the lookout for stuff to declutter but rarely find much. I have a pile of stuff to sell but even when that's gone my house is still overflowing. I guess with 3 young children we have more than some but I can't even blame it all on them!!0 -
I've just realised something...you've paid off nearly half your debt in one yr...that's absolutely spectacular!0

I am hoping to have paid off half by the end of the year....hoping!! When I make bold claims like I did before I went away things always go wrong lol so sticking with just paying off as much as I can! Octobers pay won't be as much as I was hoping as forgot with being off for nearly 2 weeks I don't earn commission. However....good news is that from November we will be getting an average on commission for when we are on holiday!
You can never have a nice tidy house with children, I think it is a fact! Especially babies, for tiny little things the need so much stuff!!
Hoping my mum will get out today, she is waiting on doctor doing the ward rounds today to know for sure. I bought her some lovely pyjamas for £19.99 in TKMAXX and then was £8 on magazines, diluting juice and some grapes. Not in my budget, but unexpected things happen.
It is bad to think that I should have a disposable of income of around £1200 a month yet I am in so much debt and a magazine and some grapes I can't afford!! I am so thankful I started this diary and started paying back what I owe!! And all you nice people who pop by and keep me going! Hope you all have a good weekend xxxStarting debt £18,675.63

Pleased to hear that your mum is on the mend. We have my Dad living with us and although he rattles when he walks from all the drugs he takes every day he is in quite good health. It's really draining running up and down to the hospital and caring for your loved one. Oh how the roles have changed. They spend their lives looking after us and how it our turn.
On the money side I think that I am going to have to go into my overdraft to pay for two new tyres. It will be the first time in over a year that we will be in the red. But I really need them doing and hope the supply work will start again soon.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
😁Debt Free and you can do it too0 -
You are so right ROTE the tables do turn. Good luck with work coming up, I will be so glad when all these kids get back to school!! Tyres are an essential and to have not been in your overdraft all year is amazing!!!
My house is a tip from going to work then hospital in the evening I have done nothing all week! Got a few washings to do, all bedding to change and iron and going to touch up some paint in the hall. Also need to clean my oven, windows and steam clean the couch...exciting weekend ahead! That doesn't include the usual clean the kitchen, bathrooms, iron, hoover etc....But I have all day and all tomorrow to do it so no rush.
Also plan to make some more soup, me and DS took it every day for work this week and I really enjoy a hot meal, salads and sandwiches bore me and something hot always feels more substantial. Off to my friends tonight for dinner and drinks so looking forward to that other than cleaning I don't plan to do much other than pop and see my mum, dog walks and watch more Prison Break!!Starting debt £18,675.63

You're right...if I have leftover dinner for lunch I feel mentally fuller than if I have a sarnie. Though I'll be honest, a good salad with an interesting mix of stuff is one of my favourite lunches but it's then not very cost effective as I go mad having loads of different ingredients!
Hope you have a lovely chilled weekend0 -
Hope your mum gets to go home. It's so hard when close family are ill.0
