Primark Sale - Stuff for a £ - Think Christmas Pressies

Just a quick one, was in Primark the other day and they are having a massive sale - lots of things reduced to a £ - so as a lot of people on the board have been thinking about Christmas this prompted me into action and snapped up a few goodies in there - I brought a few Kaftan's for a £ each should have been between £5 - £8 pound each and will be giving them to sister in law as she always goes away on holiday - there are quite a few little bargains to be had - I DON'T want to encourage people to spend if you really can't afford it but even though we are in debt we all feel like we 'have' to hand something over at christmas time - I'm nearly done now thanks to the sales - just my son and husband to go - but am budgeting for them and will buy later on. The others are really a 'token' but still have to be brought.
I told a friend of mine about this and she was like WOW take me there as she is off to Dubai for a few weeks (1st holiday in 5 years) due to debts etc and she will now be whizzing off with a load of new clothes to wear for the bargain sum of £17 - she is over the moon.
I know that Christmas is a way off yet but its not worth getting in debt over - I could write a book about that - so just get bits 'n' pieces through the year.
Toymaster - they are selling extra 'take along track' for £5 - this is a whole track and it includes an engine - either James or Gordon - and they on their own usually cost £5 each - again another bargain.
All the best peeps

I dont often get to go there - a bit of a drive away but was during some chores for my mum (who's hurt her back) and saw the sale and I thought well they are cheap at the best of times so must check this out - I know it is weird giving a kaftan at christmas but what I'll say is 'I know how much you love your holidays and I saw this and just thought of you' and lets be honest from boxing day onwards we are bombarded with sales/holidays adverts - I don't have the cash to flash about - dear me thats what got me in this mess to start with - spending a load of the banks money on christmas to give things to people who already have it all anyway!0

Yes, but if your anything like me it makes you feel good. I manage to amaze one of my Aunts one day when she was visiting Mum for the afternoon and I walked in with a bunch of flowers for her.
My cousins never bother. I guess that no matter how small the gift it's the thought that counts.Current debt - £16,300

Very true. I did a painting for my closest male friend as a christmas gift last year and he's got it on his wall and insists on telling everyone who visits that I did it.Yes, but if your anything like me it makes you feel good. Oh definately Lucy1982 - thats why I am on the lookout 365 days of the year and to think family and friends take the !!!!!! when I tell them that I've got xmas almost done in June - its because I bargain shop and don't pay over the odds - you will never find me in a shop in December - I don't do queues or expense - December is a time for family - the first weekend is decorating the house - inside and out - we have the DV of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation on in the background - on a loop - now as son is older we will all wear chrstmas santa outfit while doing this - husband needs convincing BUT this year will withold marital rights unless he does - cheavy chase eat your heart out! (all dec's are brought in the previous January sales so no big spend) and then we visit Santa and go and feed the Rein Deer at (Weald Park just off Junction 28 of the M25) this is where the bike thingy will be for the Olympics 2012 but such a great time for the little ones that 'believe' took my neice last year and she was unable to sleep that night for the fact that she fed Santa's reindeers - bless. Will hold a party for sons friends here as I'm sure he will miss them over the christmas season0
