Hi Guys, hoping to get some idea as to how much childcare costs in Belfast, specifically South Belfast, Lisburn Road direction. Trying to budget for when wife goes back to work after baby number two, trying to decide if one of us going part time may work our better? Cheers..

Full time (5 days per week) rate at my daughter's nursery is currently around £800 per month in East Belfast but I don't think rates will vary greatly across the city.0

I found south Belfast nurseries ranged from £35 - £42 per full day. Most want 4 weeks in advance, and found some want a 6 weeks. I found I had to find over £1000 for a 4 day placement.0

My next door neighbour pays £1500 for two kids 5 days a week. for a place on the Malone Road.0

Most we looked at were about £800-900/month full time.
Quite a few options. DM if need any more details.0 -
Are both your wife and your employers members of the EFC (Employers for childcare) scheme? I've three kids in full time day-care, and both my wife and I and our employers are members of the scheme which; through tax and national insurance savings saves us a bit on our childcare costs each month.0
