TV comps ? How many entries?

Just wondering does anyone know how many entries there would be for some of the large cash sums competitions?Are numbers of entries ever released to the general public or if someone has been lucky enough to win ,did they mention the number of entries? I imagine for a sum of £50,000 there would be maybe 80,000 entries or am I completely underestimating this??

From many years ago and just for GMTVDuring a four year period from 2003 to 2007 GMTV received 62 million competition entries, that's equal to 15.5 million a year, almost 300,000 a week or over 42,500 a day
In their last set of accounts ITV had a £4,000,000 INCREASE in revenue from competitions (this was during the period they were switching to postal)0
