We don't live near an Iceland so have never tried anything from there or been there before.

I see there minimum delivery is now £20, set int he last few days. They deliver to our area, so time to give them a try...

I really like Special Fried Rice so might give that a try and love Beef Wellington, Shredded Duck & Pancakes...

What do your recommend I try from there and what have you tried and think is really good?

Cheap as chips so you could fill your Freezer up for 20 squid. Welcome to Iceland !

I recommend the Gregg's range they do, especially the Gregg's sausage rolls.

Also, there Prawns are very highly rated amongst experts. Crispy duck is a must have..

Get there Chicken Strips think they are only like £2 whack them in a curry or stir fry. Bargain and very convenient. Southern Fried Chicken Drumsticks are alright too.

Iceland use to do these Hula Hoop shaped potato things (like Smiley faces but tasted better) shame they stopped doing them about 15 years ago !!
  • Do you want frozen things only? Or anything?

I thought the free delivery only applied to orders over £30.00, a £5.00 reduction from their usual £35.00 delivery charge. Do you have a voucher or is it a new promotion?

  • Iceland are good for some items of shopping, never tried their own brand range of meats/frozen meats etc and stick with the brands I know. However, I do buy their frozen veg, chips, potato products which are great value. Also their party food is excellent :)

Still cheaper than the 'Big 4' though.

I personally like their selection of frozen fish and sea food, fresh chicken (whole or thighs and wings), and their Cornish butter is yummy. I just find their household cleaning products to be a bit pricey.

All of the Greggs range is good!
  • Their cook from frozen range is excellent - chicken breasts, casserole beef etc.

They usually have good offers on SW ready meals, and I really like their exotic meat range.

Their pizzas and breaded chicken are good standbuys and they have good prices on their squash and other cupboard fillers. I don't tend to buy much fresh fruit from there but their fridge stuff is good.

If you live a distance from the shops and you have the space in your freezer then the veg is quite good and reasonable and save you carrying stuff .I don't have a delivery as I live so close to a small precinct that it would be daft to,but if you have a family its a good idea.My Dd sometimes gets a delivery ,but then there are 6 in the family so her bills for food shopping are higher than mine.I know the boys like the greggs sausage rolls now and again as a treat
