Cleaning up - some q's

Hello again

I am cleaning up my credit files and have some questions that I can't find answers to in the sticky.

1. Vodafone have failed to update any of my credit reports and I am showing as defaulting. The same has happened with the the Dealer/ Lender I had my car with. In fact the Car Lender still send me statements every 6 months and despite contacting on several occasions to be told they are still dealing with it - they never do and the credit reports would suggest the same.

I digress....if I write to both of these companies data controllers will the letter in the sticky be sufficient to update my records accordingly?

2. One of my creditors is missing from Equifax - is this a big deal?

3. Most of my loans/ cards defaulted prior to the date of bankruptcy as I entered DMP first for approx two years. Which date should be against the default? The BR date or the earlier date of default? In any event, does it matter?

4. in relation to no 3 - has anything changed in regards to settlement dates? Quite a lot of mine show my discharge date as the settled date.

Thanks again :)

    1. Should be.

    2. No. Not all report to all the CRAs.

    3. The original date is the correct one. It's only if that is after the BR date that it must be backdated. You are correct though, it's not crucial as the BR itself is worse that any default, so as long as defaults are not after, their date is by the by.

    3. Discharge date is the correct one.
