Mortgage for South of Ireland

Options
I would appreciate help in sourcing a mortgage for a holiday home in the South. We have found a property but can't find any banks who offer euro mortgages, even those with partners in the South. We are paid in Sterling.
2p or not 2p? That is the question!

  • Some UK banks will offer international mortgages (HSBC for example). Who have you tried and have you tried a basic google search?

I'd remortgage my own house and avoid any currency risk. The Euro has been as low as 67 pence and as high as 90 pence just in the last couple of years.

In for a penny, thank you. I have tried but a number of banks have pulled out of the market for this and HSBC DONT COVER mortgages for south of Ireland.
