Small remortgage

Hi all, I purchased my house in 2012 for a mere £123,000, its a 4 bed detached, very spacious and room for an extension.
Ive had plans drawn up for an extension and hoping for a small remortgage of approx. 15-20k, as I already have some funds.
As it stands I have a credit score of 890 on Experian, (which is good) not missed any mortgage payments,(4years) no searches or missed payments in the last 6 months, have a decent job of around 25-27k per year.
I do have debt of about 4k, which is a loan and a credit card.
I know I am probably good to be accepted but just want a few opinions first.

Are you remortgaging (that means a new mortgage with a new lender to repay the old one and possibly raise more) or are you asking your current lender for additional borrowing?I am a mortgage broker.
