can I replace my halifax isa mortgage with a st repayment?

Hi just after some general advice as don`t understand these mortgage thingies much at present have a isa mortgage with halifax with a yr end balance of just shy 22,000 to pay over 14 yrs with insurances my dd is £193 of which £148 is mortgage repayment rest are insurances can I do better and simplify it with a straight repayment as the statements just confuse as it states that it includes £15,000 on interest only terms with an isa with the same amount? am i ok here or what duh!!! is it me or am i jus gettin old!

You could give Halifax a quick call and ask them what the monthly mortgage cost would be if you changed to repayment. Then see if it is affordable to you to change.

Then you can decide on whether to maintian the ISA as tax efficient savings.

You could then also shop around to see if there is a better deal with another lender.
