We've still got ten, but 8 are 0% which feels great, have u tried rage credit card eligibility checker on here?

Have looked, but we aren't really eligible for anything yet. Hopefully in a few months, our credit rating will be a little better, we have a loan that ends in March and two store cards that will be paid off next payday and then closed. Maybe then we will start to see the credit score improve.

My OH has a DMP with StepChange. He has been offered bankruptcy and DRO's but as he is a 'civil servant' for a particular branch of her majesty' government he cannot have these.

In my bad old days I too had a DMP and it worked wonders. I was lucky enough to get quite a large reduction in some of my debts. Hoping the OH has similar luck over the next 2 / 3 years.

Hi everyone!!

So pleased to have found this post. I love reading everyones diarys but am so glad to have found some people in a similar situation to myself.
Me and my OH have debts of around £37K :eek: I'm just waiting for 2 more bills to come in to get exact amounts.

I've had a my LBM and want to get out of this situation as quickly we can although i know its going to take a long time. I've looked at different options, a loan to consolidate everything and 0% balance trasferes but we aren't eligable. Which is soo anoying as we pay every month and aren't late with payments I'm hopeing by bringing the debts down it improves our credit rating and opens some more options for us.

I've made myself a spreadsheet so that I can see them all reducing each month.

I've recently started a Saturday job to bring in some extra income which will only go towards paying debt of.

How is everyone doing since January?

If they can't provide the CCA, then you have no need to offer them anything in settlement, as they cannot do anything to you, and certainly cannot enforce the debt.
