Payday Loan Minor Victory

Just a quick one, I have been writing to my payday loan lenders recently asking for refunds etc for unfair affordability checks etc.
Just had an email back from 'MR Lender'.
They have disputed all of the claims made by me but have agreed to write off the balance of £260 as a full and final settlement!
I'm happy with that!
There is hope out there! :j

Have they agreed to remove the loan from your credit record ?
They seem to accept you shouldn't have had it so they should (taking previous victories into account).

They advised they will mark it as "Satisfied" I believe.
My credit report is trashed anyway so not too fussed about that though!

Nope, don't take that.
Request that it is removed.
If they agree that the loan was unaffordable and given in "error" then they write it off (does this include everything that you paid*) then they should(*2) also remove it from your record.
Are they the only people you got a Payday loan from - you may have some luck elsewhere.
Yep I know where you are coming from about trashed credit reports but every little helps.
*you agreed full and final so you wouldn't get any more cash out of them.
(*2) this is the current stance that the FOS are taking on these "lenders"Starting Debt - £3082.10 - 02/01/16 / Current Debt - £951 - 5 Defaults satisfied

Always make me chuckle really when people want their credit files amended. And amazingly yet never have to ask themselves ..just what drove me to take out a payday loan?
My sympathies go to the people who have to deal with the harpo's of this world and then see these true doorstep thugs handed nothing more but a suspended sentence.
That's after handing over their home...
