Anyone know where I could get one of these but cheaper?

Am looking for one for a birthday present but can't find any, anywhere!

It is Seasonal Affective Disorder, not Seasonal Disorder Thing.
    Gone ... or have I?

I just think the OP did not know the correct name for the condition. Thanks for giving us the correct term.

My sister uses day light bulbs the ones that use a full spectrum of light 6500k or somthing. The old style bulbs are blue in colour but you can now get energy saving versions.

She just has it in a desk lamp and uses it when she is reading during the winter. sorts her out.

Healthy house do rental of lamps too which i think is a good way of seeing if they help. My sis just uses a daylight bulb, partly for SAD and also as she is a seamstress and the light is better for sewing!

I saw these in Boots, in thier clearance section for 7 quid last week, ( boxes scuffed a bit mind you) I would recommend giving a few local ones a ring adn seeing if theres any about :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Thanks - are the Lumie brand officially a SAD remedial product? Not sure how official this form of treatment is though so I have no idea whether my questions are making sense!

Edit - I've focussed on the descriptions now and have answered my question!

Thanks Lynz - will have a look around!
  • not sure, but maybe this will help answer your question
