It is usual for doctors to backdate sick notes. That's what I've found anyway.0

This is what i thought, especially as my doctor only works Tuesdays and Wednesday morning. I asked him about back dating and he said he couldn't. I was a bit annoyed about this because i tried to get in when it ran out but their was no appointments available.DMP - JAN 2016

There presumably is another doctor in the practice who you could see.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I would assume but when i asked for the initial appointment and they couldn't give me one i explain my situation and they told me there was nothing they could do and i would have to wait..Torry_Quine wrote: »There presumably is another doctor in the practice who you could see.DMP - JAN 2016

Have you tried asking the doctor for a note to give to the receptionist to book your next appt for when the sick (fit) note expires? That is of course if you will need another one.0

Change your Doctor maybe.
Mine backdated my line recently.0 -
If after explaining the situation to your employer they refuse to pay SSP you can contact HMRC for them to make a decision on it.
