    Hi

Does your husband know what type of debt they are collecting and whether it’s something that he actually owes?

  • Hi, James

No we don't know why they are calling hubby had two missed calls from them on mobile and one on landline. Do we deal with them on the phone or do we wait for them to write?

Your husband isn’t obliged to telephone BPO just because they’ve attempted to call him. I think it’s best to wait for them to write as they should provide more information in a letter and you’ll have a history of the correspondence if a complaint needs to be made.

If they do write we have a template ‘prove it’ letter on our website which your husband can use to dispute liability and request evidence if he doesn’t think he owes the debt.

Best to wait until something arrives in writing, then the normal response would be the provit letter.
