Groupon-Zoom Laser Teeth Whitening Treatment

Hello,

I purchased Groupon Voucher(£119) for Zoom laser teeth whitening treatment with Harley Street Aesthetic Clinic.

I am bit concerned as I hear horror stories of people experiencing severe pain with these treatments.

I am getting married in few weeks and my teeth are quite yellow so when I saw the Groupon Voucher I immediately bought it.

Has anyone had this type of treatment or been to Harley Street Aesthetic Clinic?

It is illegal , and dangerous for a non dentist (or hygienist , dental therapist working to a dentists prescription) to perform teeth whitening.

Although the site says they use GDC registered dentists they do not appear to have the facility to take X Ray's etc .

I would check with the clinic exactly who will be doing the treatment and double check their qualifications on the GDC website. It is not unknown for illegal whiteners to use false GDC numbers etc.

Even better ask your own dentist about whitening. It will be safer and your dentist will have taken the X Ray's and checked your oral health to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy enough for whitening. Research would indicate whitening teeth white a tray system over a few weeks gives a better, more controllable and less sensitive result than zoom. The light merely dehydrates the teeth making them look lighter.
