Glasses - From Brick Store or Online?

I don't get the logic - are you saying people should pay hundreds of pounds over the odds for frames and lenses just to ensure that other people can get cheap eye tests in the future?
I doubt the true cost of an eye test is £80 or more when the average going rate seems to be about £15 or so. Regardless of that, this is a money saving site and I have no intention of paying £400+ to Vision Express when I can get similar frames with better lenses for less than £100 with Glasses Direct. That is how the prices compared when I replaced my glasses last year.“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Well, I ended up paying £319 from Vision Express.
But that includes some Oakley frames, the anti-reflective glazing, special "blue protect" glaze (which helps with LED light), as well as a re-glaze of my sunglasses, with the polarised lenses.
Although I am certain my last pair had the anti-reflective as it was sort of standard but the lady this time said the lenses were just standard so either last time I was ripped off or she is lying.
I'll perhaps quiz them about that when I pick them up.0
