Wee scrabble round for loose change, adding 69p to my TT tin.
My DDs are mocking my little tin of coins telling me that I'm not going to be able to buy a turkey with what's in it. That may be correct just now but determined to prove them wrong. Teenagers, don't ya just love 'em. Sigh!0 -

This is why I have cats. They don't judge me....or if they do they judge silently :rotfl:0 -

Hallo mrsp1987 and SueP19
Hmmm🤔, I could always swap my lovely DDs for cats, that would be very money saving.
Me, the cats and a small turkey😜0 -
Does anyone know how much the limit is for paying in bags of copper coins into a bank account? I don't want to have to carry around all day more than I can pay in. Alternatively will banks or post offices exchange them for larger coinage, say £2 coins? Seem to remember things changing and they being quite strict about limits. Am keen to get as much of my Tilly Tidy into my bank account asap, I have about £12 in copper. Thanks in advance.MFW 2021 No: 33 £45000/£45000 Mortgage free @ 11/6/21 🥳0

Decorating the frontroom today and whilst sorting through some old paperwork, came across a very lovely £10 note. Straight into the pot it went alongside a 20p coin and several coppers.
Goodness knows how long that tenner has been there, would have come in handy at some points in the past but never mind, it can come in handy in the future now!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Hi Roxie my understanding is that banks are now iffy as some/all change is no longer considered legal tender!!! It's definitely a no if you don't bank there. DD had a mixed bag the other week and the bank wouldn't accept it.................I use a coin machine, you do lose anywhere from 7-10p in the £1 :mad::mad:
Only thing you can do is bag up into £5 coin bags and tryDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Debt free, building a savings pot0 -
