The storm sounded quite exciting!  I love watching a good storm (as long as I don't have to go out in them!)

I sleep through anything, storms, hot weather, even Mr SA’s snoring. You’ll think I’m mad but I still need a duvet over me no matter how hot it is. I’m a bit wary of storms as we’re so high up round here. When I was a child we lived at the top of a hill and our house was struck by lightning, the noise was horrendous. It hit the TV aerial and it set fire to the carpet. Have been wary of storms ever since unsurprisingly.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Hope David Tennants uncle was as dishy as he is Beanie😍
SA I’m not surprised you’re wary of storms. You reminded me of my mum who used to unplug everything electrical as it wasn’t safe.....she could have had a point I suppose.
Thanks - I’ll nip into town and put the old £20 in my bank as soon as we get a cooler day....I’m not going out in this heat.
I messed about in the kitchen yesterday afternoon making a Slimming World style tapas meal. There’s plenty for today too. I’m on a mission to use things from my cupboards just in case the builder ever gets back with a quote and can do the work I want doing. Am I just impatient or does it take all tradespeople a lifetime these days.
We’ve been trying to get in touch with relative dealing with the ongoing inheritance saga to find out what’s  going on, but with no joy. They could well be away since it’s school holidays. I’m getting quite nervous with the economy as it is....I want it in my grasp so that we can do the work on the house done and know our future is as secure as it can be in this climate. ( we can hopefully still get the work done but it will take all our retirement and holiday funds)
I watched more lightning last night - it was more intense than previous night but didn’t continue for as long.

I hope you manage to get in contact with the relation dealing with the estate milann. It must be so frustrating not knowing.   Fingers crossed for a positive update. 🤞

More storm watching in the spare room at silly o’clock. I was by a fully open window and the coolest I’d felt all night....I could still hear dh snoring from our bedroom. It must have been 4 am before I went back to bed and dropped off then Mr M was wide awake and brought me a cuppa at 6am......he is very lucky he wasn’t wearing it 😂🙄😂🙄
I went for a swim last night and again this morning 😇😇 It was lovely- I have missed my swimming. Still can’t swim as far as I could a couple of years ago but I’ll get there and if I don’t I’m enjoying what I can do 👍
I have a telephone consultation with the professor who did my arm op later. Not sure if he’ll discharge me or want more x-rays as they were meant to be doing some at regular intervals following progress as a case study for their training purposes. As well as to help me.

It was good Beanie better than travelling an hour in both directions for a 2 minute consultation. Only disadvantage didn’t get the x ray they were going to take.
i went for a swim last night and again this morning and been a walk around locally this afternoon- I needed to post some cards and bits to various friends. There are lots of terraced properties around and there has been a community drive to clear up back alleyways and improve them. One in particular passage  is getting a lovely reputation for being ‘the fairy passage’ It is lovely and mainly  done with recycled stuff and imagination. I know there is a plant swop somewhere and went to see it but couldn’t find it anywhere. When I got home and checked my phone which I’d lefton t he table I’d been looking on the wrong street. I’ll take a couple of cuttings over the weekend.

  • I bet your glad you didn't go all that way to the hospital , but I guess the X-ray would have been useful. Glad to hear you have gone back swimming, I have frozen my gym membership at the moment , but will probably start back in October mainly for the swimming . Have a good evening.

Yes the phone consultation definitely sounded better than taking a trip.
Pleased to read that you've been swimming again. Good exercise - must be lovely too swimming when it's been so hot.
