Hello everyone,
First of all I've been here as a lurker for some time and a lot of your input has been very helpful in the last few weeks whilst I established a way to sort out my debts.
Now, granted my money issues are by no means as bad as some others have shown here but all the same it has the same affect on my credit record as everyone else has come across.
I today managed to make my first payment towards my outstanding balance and it's my aim to be completely in the black by April - just in time for a new tax year !!
Huge lifestyle change and strict budget in order to make it work out in the end but it's a short sacrifice to make a long lasting difference.
Thanks again and here are the details. I'm not going to go in depth as to what they are or who they are owed to (not drugs or gambling), let's just say they were a bit of a shock when I pulled my credit record (stuff from old addresses etc - not stat barred)
£484.45 - Paid in full - 18/1/16
£30.49 - Paid in full - 18/1/16
£504.00
£163.00
£302.00
£789.00
£177.00
£1934.54 / £2,449.94

I think looking at the old credit report can be a sobering moment
I use Noddle and Clear Score as they're both free to access.
Good luck with your challenge, it looks like your off to a flying start.
Keep on, keeping on :T

I took all 3 of the main ones for the £2 jobbie as they're the ones that any future potential lender would "refer" to - it is very interesting to see how the information differs from one to the next one.
I had a look at Clearscore but I think it needs a little time to catch up, apparently I'm clean on there :rotfl: - I will revisit when they review it or somethingStarting Debt - £3082.10 - 02/01/16 / Current Debt - £951 - 5 Defaults satisfied

Yes I agree. Both Noddle and Clear Score do take a bit of time to update but as I'm not looking to obtain any credit for the foreseeable future then I don't mind the delay.
I'm just using them as a tool to make sure everything is being recorded correctly there.
I wouldn't dream of paying the fee that Experian want each month!
Not on their nelly! The £2 statutory reports provide adequate detail.

I use clearscore when I want to feel good about my situation! They seem to score me much more favourably than the other 2. I now get my Experian score free through Barclaycard. I know it's just a number, but its a comparison point to Noddle and Clearscore. Noddle I'm hovering at 2/5, Experian I am 678/poor and clearscore I am 429/looking good/above average but as folks have said clearscore is at least 1 month behind on things like cc balanceDebt free on 2nd January 2015Next savings goals:£5k emergency fund£4k holiday of a lifetime fund0
