Damaged Xbox live code

Dear All

We recently purchased a 12 month Xbox live subscription from Amazon (about £40). Unfortunately it was almost impossible to scrape off the silver foil covering the code and in doing so we damaged and lost the middle 5 digits. I contacted Microsoft support who were no help at all and suggested I contact Amazon. Has anyone else had the same problem and had a satisfactory outcome?

I know its not much help now but in future use cdkeys for the Xbox Live codes.

Sorry, I have no idea what cdkeys are....

Does anyone know if there is any chance of Microsoft replacing the code?

Amazon is the retailer so your rights are with them so contact them.

Microsoft usually aren't all that bad either with codes like that, certainly the only experience I've had with it I phoned them up (granted with a number directly from the retailer) & they "filled in the blanks". Albeit this was on a printed code from Game, but still shouldn't be much different.

Sounds like a older style card, the new ones are printed on cardboard I guess for that very reason, sorry no help there just saying.
