howard cohen - how bad are they?

Options
Hi all

I have an overdraft debt defaulted December 2010.

I dont have any correspondence relating to it then I receive a 'Notice of Pending Legal Action' From HOWARD COHEN asking for payment asap otherwise they have instructions from their client (Robinson Way / HPH2) to issue proceedings in the County Court.
The letter is printed signed "Howard Cohen & Co."

Letter states "IF they issue proceedings they will ask for costs to be added"

Are Howard Cohen 'Phishing' or are they well known for actually getting a CCJ as soon as they can?

Thanks for any experiences.

    Hi,

Howard Cohen & Co is a trading name of Cohen Cramer Solicitors, based in Princes Street, Leeds, they keep a low profile of their true identity by using deception "Our Branch Based in Cleckheaton" The SRA list only one Solicitor (John-Paul Murphy) as at Howard Cohen & Co, Riverside, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, BD19 4DH.

    All clever stuff.

There's no way of knowing 100%, there letters are full of "maybe's" and "ifs", but In all probability "Howard Cohen & Co" will issue a summons against you, acting on behalf of Robnson way.

If you want to avoid this, get in touch and sort out a repayment plan with them.
