Consumer rights act 2015 for 'click and collect' laptop

Maybe it can be used for 8+ hours if the settings are set to do so perhaps?0

OP could you perhaps try and factory reset the laptop and test it out without installing any of your own software? It could be something not installed correctly or just bad OS install in general causing the fault (high CPU usage?)0

Hi everyone, thank you all so much for your advice. PC World took the faulty laptop back without hesitation and gave me a refund. I was prepared for a consumer rights battle, however, it turns out my documents and consumer rights knowledge wasn't necessary. A win for PC World customer services and a win for me! Really appreciate all your comments and advice!0

Good news. I'd say 3.5 hours of general use on that machine would be very poor, I get considerably more than that from my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro with an i5 processor (although it has a SSD rather than a mechanical hard drive), so I would have expected much better from yours.0
