Housing association and major repairs

Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation.
After many years being on nihe waiting list and years of private renting (sometimes every year), my daughter (teen still at school) and I were over the moon to get a home from a housing association a year ago.
To cut a long story short it is damp. I called numerous times about this. I also threw every penny I earn into making a home and my painting flooring ect are ruined.
Last week a surveyor came and we have rising damp, penetrating damp along with condensation and black mould.
Surveyor said we would have to move to temporary accommodation or be rehoused.
I just wondered if anyone has been in this situation. I am terrified of temporary accommodation for various reasons plus dd has aspergers a move to a permanent house would be best as we have moved from private rental to private rental so many times.

Presumably the re-housing would be permanent. Talk to your HA about re-housing options. If you like the house you are in ask about the temporary accommodation and how long the repairs will take.0

If the HA accepts that there are major works needed to the house, they should arrange to decant you temporarily. This is likely to be into another of the HA's properties. If the work is substantial and cannot be undertaken/completed in a reasonable timeframe, they may opt to move you to another of their properties permanently.
Your HA should have a scheme in place to financially compensate you for disturbance/redecoration costs, depending on what the outcome is.0
