    My concern was with sansdy's statement "The £15k is simply an estimate of what it will be worth once it's increased for inflation each year "

    The OP might read that as being worth more in 2032 than it is now. When in real terms it will be similar to what it is now.

    Sorry, bad wording. Should have said an estimate of what will be paid. But obviously has to be considered relative to inflation in the meantime.
