Hi,
I have been checking my credit file. On clearscore or equifax I have a telecomms bill on there for talktalk. I've never been with TalkTalk? It says I owe nearly 600 pound in telecomms. The account is registered to an address that is near to me. (I live in a block of flats) different number to me. I have only just noticed this as I pay for experian but do not have equifax. Checked clear score it was on there!
It is from 2013 or 14. I have always had sky and can prove it. I've not spoken to TalkTalk yet as I'm scared they will insist I pay 600 pounds!!! I don't know what to do, please advise.
I've got bank statements which prove I've not lived there and I've got a tenancy agreement for my flat. I've got my sky bills. Why would I have talktalk if I have sky?
What should I do?

Hi,
You can dispute the entry from the CRA website, there's a button which says "something wrong ?".
Click on that and follow the directions.
Alternatively a written complaint to the credit ref agency's and talk talk should be made.
If non of those options bear fruit, you can then complain to the ICO (information commissioners office) and they will resolve the matter.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
