Q about Company CC for employees

Hi again, didn't think I would need this forum after discharge but shows what I know!

Since discharge I have started a new job. my financial status did not need to be declared. All well and good.

I have now been told that I may be given a company credit card for essential business expenses. I do not know anything about these, I don't know what arrangement the company has with the supplier or other employees. However what I would like to know is am I likely to be credit checked for this? Or does the company just issue the cards to who needs them with no financial checks?

I haven't asked anything of my employer as to how this works because I didn't want to draw attention to my credit status if unnecessary.

Tia. Q's on clean up will be arriving within the next week or so. All of my credit reports are wrong! Ahhhhhh.

I don't know if it varies according to the company/bank, but I wasn't credit checked for mine, probably because the card was in the company's name and they were responsible for paying it.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Ditto with mine - if it's the company's, it's their responsibility not yours. If they choose to give you a CC, it's up to them - presumably if you were to misuse it they would take it away ...

The employee has zero liability so credit checking the employee would be pointless - the company is who would be credit checked as they are 100% liable for payments
  • Thanks for the replies, that's smashing put my mind well at rest :)
