Sainsburys wine half price and 25% off when you buy 6 - for 6 days

According to the word of mouth conversation I had with my Dad tonight, Sainsburys' have loads of wines at half price in store at the moment.

And for the next six days, if you buy six or more bottles, you get a further 25% discount.
Time to stock up for Christmas methinks! Cheers Dad!

  • Yes, thanks for that, it worked for me. They have quite a lot of stuff at a third or half price, then the buy 6 get 25% off is applied, and in my case there was a further multibuy reduction of 5% (although I might be wrong about that) AND I got free wine bags to stick it all in.

    Examples were - Jacobs Creek 1/3 off so 3.99 less 25% 2.99 less 5% = £2.85
    Lanson Black Label NV Champagne 1/3 off so 15.99 less 25% 12.00 less 5% = £11.40

They also have my favourite gin - Martin Miller's Imported from Iceland marked on shelf at £12.99 - possibly a misprice - it's usually £17.99 iirc

I also got free wine bags (but then always do for 6 bottles) and the extra 5% for buying 6 or more as well as the 25% off and I bought either 25% off original price wine or in some cases, half price ones! Roughly £60 worth of wine for £34.........
Then the postman brought me some vouchers for triple points on a £20 spend, and £4 off a £40 spend, so I may use those whilst the wine offer is still on!

It is not taking an extra 5% off as well as the 25% like you think. The first discount takes 20% off and then you get the multibuy of 5% off as well, making it total 25% discount. I thought the same as you till we checked our receipt an dworked it out last night. Shame really - but 25% discount on already discounted wine is cracking!

    This offer ends on Sunday.

  • Thanks katskorner... 12 bottles marked at half price, then 25% off that. £90 worth of wine for £36. Brilliant!
  • Yes, so pretty good discounts BUT... some of their half price offers look decidedly ropey, and Sainsburys are one of the worst for this. For eg they had the whole range of Gallo Sycamore Valley wines supposedly half price at £3.99, but I can't imagine anyone actually paying 8 quid for it twice. Often their half price wines turn out to be worth what you end up paying imo. That said, I still loaded up with some gluggers for parties etc.
