Nationwide Loan Application Keeps Crashing

Hi

I'm logged into my Nationwide Account online and tried to apply for a person loan online.

All goes well until the 2nd or 3rd page in and then when I click on Continue button it comes up with a message saying "We're Sorry but due to technical reasons we can't complete your application at the moment... etc.."

Is this a one off error message or does it happen all the time ?

I tried a couple of times and still no joy!

    I recall this happening to us when we first applied online and if I remember correctly it happened a couple times.


    We called Nationwide New Business Team and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. We had to get them to cancel that application and start a whole new one.


    I think they said it was because we started the application in the evening or some such nonsense when their computers are "shut down" and after that it just wouldn't let us continue no matter what the time.


    In the end we decided to do the whole bloody thing over the phone.
  • Thanks. Sounds like the online Nationwide Loan Application process is problematic and unreliable which is a bit disappointing, especially coming from such a well established high street business.

    It puts you off applying!

    It was the same for us with the Mortgage application too, exactly the same error.


    Again, we decided to do that over the phone in the end also (after a complaint was made).
