Debt collection agency help

i had a credit card about 8 years ago and maxed it out them lost my job. it was handed toadebt collection agency and i agreed to pay off at £20 a month.

I then started to miss payments and they ended up offereign me a settlement which i agreed to pay off at £200 a month.

After 1 month i had a few personal problems and didnt pay and now the debt has been passed onto another company who have given me 3 weeks to pay the full amount

i cant afford to pay it off and i dont have any friends or family with the kind of money theyre asking for.

i have a terrible credit record and dont own my home so i dont know if i can get a loan. im trying to get myself debt free but this one debt is like a weight round my neck

if i cant pay it off what will happen? will they send baliffs round? im worried as i dont think i can pay it
