Car delivery and collection Insurance

If someone wanted to set up a part time side line business using a car trailer to collect and deliver cars for people what type of insurance would they need to ask for to ensure that the cars being transported are insured in case of damage/accident.
Would it be goods in transit?
The vehicle being used to tow the trailer is already insured its just ensuring the cars are covered.
I have rang a few insurance companies who cover the motor trade and they dont want to know or don't seem to understand what I am asking for.
If anyone has any knowledge of this or can point me in the right direction I would be grateful

You would be wise to ask for a traders policy or transporter policy I think but you could always try the motoring board to see if you get a better answer.0

This is good advice.
Be aware that most Motor Trade Policies will not cover the vehicles whilst on the trailer / being loaded / unloaded so make sure you ask about it and get it confirmed in writing.

You will certainly need some sort of traders policy as there will be times that you may need to drive these vehicles on public roads ie when loading onto your trailer.0

Might be worth a call to Hiscox, tell them what you want to do and they should be able to direct you.0
