Walls - to wash or not to wash?

  • I have absolutely no idea what you're on about and have no idea who the other poster is. I posted a perfectly simple and polite comment - why either of you has taken offence I don't know - you're completely reading something that isn't there.

The issue is that your attitude is deliberately designed to be polite, but on the backdrop there is a clear course on your part to continue to try and communicate with R-D whilst stirring up an undercurrent of continuing problems. You did this at the back end of last year, or has your selective memory forgotten this?

There was absolutely zero need on your part whatsoever to quote R-D's post when eleanor had specifically made reference in her OP that she simply wished to clean the walls. The fact is you pulled R-D up at the next available opportunity to have another 'dig'! Yet again your posting is telling in that you are trying to mitigate your actions by feigning that you have no knowledge of this! I am firm in my stance that you do have clear recollection of it whether you choose to admit it or otherwise.

You were asked last year to desist and yet you have begun a fresh course of behaviour once again that is slyly invented with the specific design to cause problems. There was zero need to quote that post and there was no requirement on your part whatsoever to take issue with it. You did take cause with it because you saw an opening in which to have another 'dig'. It's childish playground spite filled bullying.

I suggest respectfully that you undertake exactly what Rainy-Days has had to do with you for a while now and that is to place a block on the posts. That way you are then not tempted going forward to direct any communication whatsoever with her.

Vermillion that seems like you are looking to take offence. I can't see anything offensive in that post. I know MissBiggles can sometimes be a bit sharp but honestly if you can see that in that post I think you are looking very hard.

Mumps - with all due respect you are not aware of the full facts here. Last year I had to tollerate some pretty nasty and offensive posts by Missbiggles1. I have her on the Ignore icon so I no longer see her posts.

However, since the last interaction from last year I believed that she had now stopped her postings towards me. Today this has not been the case and she has started her behaviour once again. I have no wish to interact with this individual and I have edited my original posting above to reflect that.

I will not tollerate bullies regardless of whether it is directed at me or indeed someone else and those perpetrators who undertake that course of action I will have no hesitation to deal with them.

MissBiggles had no need or any requirement to quote my post on here but she did so in which to start up another situation again in order to cause me trouble. I do not accept her behaviour is done in a polite way because of the past issues I have had to tollerate and as a direct result I am grateful to those who alreted this to me when she posted this.

Therefore Vemillion is well within their rights to post the replies they have done as it is a clear reflection on what has gone before and the previous issues that I have had with Missbiggles1

Vermillion has requested that she desists in her behaviour towards me and I am grateful to them for that.

This is such a shame as of all the forums I attend this is very much so the best, friendliest and most informative. Let's try and move on, I know nothing of past events but feel it's a pity for such a great thread to be derailed by one troll.

    Hugs to you all x

I hope I am not inflaming matters - but missbiggles has started a thread up in Marraiges, Relationships and Families called 'is it me'. there is a link there to this page. just so you are aware, as I know few 'Oldstylers' venture there.

    Hi Katkin and Meritaten,

Yes I really do agree and this is really why I stay here in Old Style because to me it's like a little safe zone - I don't really go anywhere else on the forums (well certainly not to post and only to read) because in large part of what happened with this 'person'.

What happened last year was just offensive and uncalled for. It was unacceptable on every single level. It was total goading and a deliberate stalking of any of my postings that I undertook. It was upsetting and unnecessary.

I just will not stand by and let this happen to anybody else and neither will I accept that this behaviour is to be ignored by me either. I gave her no issue whatsoever to do what she did today, but yet she took it upon herself to do that. Only she has the answers on this as to why she has 'targeted' me in the way she has, yet again!

Vermillion is right, she just needs to do what I did last year and hit to Ignore icon!

I don't know what went on before but I cannot believe that two adults can be so upset about a post about washing a wall. Like I say taking offence at that posts looks like you are looking to take offence, maybe that is because of history but it was not an offensive post. As to saying she had no need to quote your post, that is something that happens all the time on the forum, why are you taking it as a personal insult?

Well what else do you think you are doing, obviously you are inflaming things, why else would you post that?

Mumps - this is exactly how things start, it is a continuation of a course of conduct that was initially started by Missbiggles1 last year and is once again rearing it's head. It always always starts with Missbiggles1 quoting Rainy-Days posts. This needs to STOP.

It's simple, she was asked to desist on this last year and it needs to be nipped 'in the bud' right now before it cracks off again. It's not fair; it's not fair to the vast majority of others who use these forums peacefully and it's not fair to the individual concerned who is being 'targeted' by this behaviour. It is bullying and it needs to be brought to an end.

No, it starts because you take offence at something completely inoffensive!
