Comping Fund?

Hi
I've been mulling this over for the last couple of days and don't think it'll work for logistical reasons only but thought I'd share my thoughts with you all.
I'm trying to keep on top of entering competitions this year and it has crossed my mind that, although lots of MSErs post comps on this board, for certain posters this costs money, ie having to purchase TAB/Puzzler mags weekly etc. I've no idea how much these magazines cost each week but I'm sure it mounts up. I wonder if there was some sort of fund that could be set up to contribute towards these costs.
I look forward to hearing others views.

My view is that it's a really kind thought, but unnecessary. Mind you, I'm saying that as someone who only buys one magazine a month! But I've had lots of wins over the last 5-6 years, and I do like that I can give back in a tiny way.0

No one is forced to buy these magazines and if they ever find it too much there is normally someone who either already buys the mags or someone who is willing to do so. I buy two mags a week at a cost of £1.10 ish and I have no problem with it. I'm sure other people will agree when I say I get my "repayment" when someone wins from my posts
(Just re-read this and realised it may be read in the wrong way, it's not meant to be a negative post - please giggle to yourself whilst reading)
Thanks to all posters :A0 -
Although very kind of them to post the answers and comps etc a lot of us buy the mags and have done for years so no i think if someone chooses to post these sort of comps it is because they want to. (And i'm very grateful for their help and contribution) If they feel at any point in the future they can't afford to there are many here who also get them so would take over. I presume the mags are bought because they also like to read them and do the puzzles in general. Introducing a payment to some posters for posting? Absolutely not.August-September 2017: Lots of stuff

I agree with posters 2, 3 and 4 above. The compers who buy the mags and post the answers do so because they obviously want to, not because they are forced to in any way. Along with many other, I very much appreciate their kindness and efforts and if they ever change their mind and wish to stop buying the magazines and/or posting the answers, then I would hold nothing against them whatsoever.
Setting up a fund wouldn't be so easy and could cause many problems - so why try to fix something that isn't broken. Some people spend hours posting comps on here on a daily basis so others might say - well if we are paying for people to buy the mags and post up the answers then why not pay the regular posters a wage per hour for their efforts?.....! Remember this is a free forum - so no pressure to post at all!:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0
