    Hi VanDal,

I'm sorry that you feel like you're being got at. I've absolutely no wish to suggest that you are a Troll or otherwise have a go. But you do need to be careful where records are being accessed - even if they're your own on a private system. See here:-

Good luck to you in any case.

    Thank you RuthnJasper.

that is my point _ I first became aware of my records being accessed when i was actually reprimande for what the doctor wrote and sa this on the screen of the practice manager who has no medical role. then when a colleague actually had the front to mention what i had discussed in the same consultion, and then the following day i walked past yet another workstation and saw my record up again. It appeared the manager had told other staff and it had spread. I then took avice at the time and was advised that i should print off an audit of who had viewed my records (so i did not view them) and this was shocking i felt violated.

after the reception i got today on here i made some telephone calls.....

I have now been advised by the office of the tribunal to report this to the ICO as they are now prosecuting for this offence.

    oh an i found this
as a new user i can't post it as a link but search uk-former-medical-center-director-prosecuted-for-improper-access-of-colleagues-records/

I don't understand why the OP has been jumped upon so much? It's quite common for GP surgery staff to say they work for the NHS, indeed in a few cases they will. The health centre in my town has an IT Manager, that may well be a glorified title but he does have responsibility for maintaining their IT services.

OP, if you feel anyone has posted inappropriately you can report them to the forum team by pressing the red circle on any (or all) of their posts.

Sorry, at what point did you say you were disabled? And where did Guest101 make a discriminatory comment regarding said disability?

As for a person's first language not being English, this is opinion based on your poor use of written English in this thread.

Staff working in the surgery might be NHS, as GPs can make money renting out the rooms

Staff working for the surgery will not be NHS.

The health centre could be part of a wider trust? Or a joint venture? The it manager could be based there but work for another organisation? Or the Partners could be a it trigger happy with splashing the cash...

    Mersey - yes am appellant.

No permission was requested or granted - was patient of employer (lesson learnt) during disclosure became aware of various things (like consultation notes printed 28 weeks prior to commencement of legal process

respondent's solicitor acknowledges existence and access of such, but claims is legal because now under legal proceedings

1: I'm not trolling, I was asking you questions and giving explanations- if you don't like them, feel free to ignore them
2: actually the equality act does not apply to me in this case, I'm an individual and entitled to hold any opinion I wish.
3: regardless of 2, I didn't say anything about your disability in any case.
4: is English your first language? I'd wager not, so it wouldn't be libellous because 1: it's true and 2: there's no negative connotations and 3: English isn't my first language.
5: please dial 101 and report me immediately.
