Do I Have to Give New Employer P45?

in Cutting tax
Hi
I've been doing temp jobs and zero hour contracts recently.
I quit one of the temp jobs, as it really wasn't for me. After that I did a zero hour contract for Christmas.
I've received a P45 for the first job I quit, however nothing for the zero hour contract job. Should I get a P45 for the zero hour contract job?
Also, I will need to omit the fact I quit a job on my CV.
Will I have to pass on the P45 to my next employer - this will show I quit a job that is not on my CV.
Thanks

the purpose of passing a P45 onto a new employer is to ensure that the correct amount of tax is deducted as what you have earned and tax paid year to date will be relevant
The P45 from the job you quit would have gone to the next employer (zero hour contract) if you did not have it at the time then you will likely have completed a new joiners checklist
Similarly your next job will only be interested in the P45 from your job immediately before it, so if the P45 was from a job before then, it would not be relevant. If you do not receive a P45 from your zero hours job before starting a new job you would, again, fill in the new joiners checklist.0 -
If you have resigned from the zero hours job then yes you should receive a P45.
A P45 does not show your reason for leaving, it is simply for pay and tax purposes.
As mentioned, without this you would complete a starter checklist. It may mean you are on the wrong tax code initially.0 -
If you read what is written on the P45 it tells you what to do if you do not wish to give it to your new employer.0

Before thinking about what to do with the P45 which it appears was not given to the zero hours employer it would be helpful to establish your full tax position.
To do this you would need to detail all jobs held with periods of employment and the following from the last payslip for each job ie last when you left or last received if still employed. Grss, tax, tax code/basis, week/month number, taxable pay to date and tax paid to date.0
