Gunge.... for Fences/Garage Roof

Does anyone know the name of the stuff you can get to put on Fences etc. to stop kids from climbing on them, and where to buy it from.
It's some sort of non-drying sticky stuff. I'm at my wits end with kids climbing onto my garage roof, and as you're not allowed to put barbed wire or brozen glass around it (shame) incase the little darlings hurt themselves (that's the whole point), it's the only other thing that might work. Thanks.

had the same problem and used axle grease, end of problem although one kid actually called to tell me there was black stuff on my garage roof!!!!!!!!!!! couldnt make it up!0

Agree with previous comments, Axle grease works a treat, any auto shop should have it or try an Agricultural Wholesalers/Merchants as Farmeres use !!!!!! loads of the stuff and you might get a non branded grease there cheaper (They may even just give you a dolop of it depending on how much you need)Live, Love & Laugh A Lot!0

you can buy a tub of grease for a few pounds, smear that along the roof of your garage.. that will soon stop them in their tracks after they get covered in it0

1We put the anti-climb paint on our railings at work - the next morning i arrived to open up and they had scraped some of it off and smeared the padlock and gatelatch with it!!!
We used to use grease as suggested but it tends to dry up after a while.0 -
Thanks for that. Bought 2 tins of grease & spent 3 hrs this afternoon plastering around the edge of the garage roof, fences, & anything else I thought they could climb up. Also cut down trees & things they were using to hide in. Took a well earned break, to watch the footie, feeling all pleased with myself, until something caught my eye and lo & behold.......... You guessed it....... kids on the garage roof again! Aaaaaaaaaarghhhhh!!!!!!!
I have two adjoining garages, think I need a large industrial sized bucket load to completely cover the roof. Someone earlier suggested Agricultural Wholesaler. Can anyone tell me where i'll find one??0 -
