Apricots Apples and a Pointed cabbage

I have just bought a large punnet of apricots (500g) a bag of apples(1kg) and a large ponted cabbage all reduced to 10p each.
I am looking for any dessert recipes for the fruit as my kids will not eat it as it is and also any recipes on what to do with the pointed cabbage.

Eagerly awaitng replies

Yes, crumble would be one of my suggestions, too.

The other one is, stew the fruit and make fruit cobbler

You could either make apricot & apple together, or do one of each, maybe apple crumble & apricot cobbler or vice versa

Or just stewed fruit & custard

    ...yum yum!!!
  • This is what I'd do with the cabbage: roughly cut it up (or you could be gentle with it...):rotfl: and cook it in very little boiling water for about 5 minutes. Strain the water off, and either add a knob of butter or a tablespoon of olive oil, and loads of freshly ground black pepper - heaven.

I would save the cabbage water in a mug and a dash of milk and half a teaspoon of marmite, a delicious hot drink. But that's cos my Ma used to give us to drink when we wuz little, and I love it, most normal people would probably hate it.
