GMAC RFC - Help Needed

Hi, I am very new to this and hope someone can help me here. I recently wrote to GMAC and requested that they pay back :
2 x Unpaid DD Frrs @ £30 each
1 x Areears Fee @ £50 each
5 x Non payment bt DD Fees @ 15 each
I got the standard letter saying that all the fees were justified.
My questions are..
1) Is it worth me continuing for the £185
2) Am I entitles to claim these back anywat ?
3) What should be my next move ?
Any help would be most welcome.
Best regards
Gazza

I think you'll find that these are standard mortgage fees that you would have agreed to at the time of taking out the mortgage & are not able to be claimed back in the same way bank charges are.
The charges are because you failed to ensure the mortgage was paid each month. To avoid fees you need to ensure that enough money is in your account each month to meet the mortgage repayments. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Well thanks for the constructive comments and stating the glowingly obvious guys ! Blimey !
Firstly, The unpaid DD fees were as a result of me changing bank accounts and GMAC claiming that they had not been informed, the arrears fee followed.
My point being surley these charges can't be justified as a fair reflection of GMAC's costs ?0 -
Sorry to be so blunt, but as Cattie says these fees were on the terms and conditions you originally agreed to. However, if as it appears, GMAC have made errors in their charging then you should write and make a complaint outlining their mistakes. They will at least have to investigate and they may refund you some of the costs. You have obviously written to them once but did you point out their mistakes?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
