Nationwide Application Updates

Hello. Has anyone applied for a mortgage with Nationwide and then used their online banking to keep track of the application? I'm trying to do this and wondering what their different 'notes' mean.
For example, the application was only actually submitted (direct in branch) last Thursday 7th, but the next morning some of the documents (bank statements) had been noted as 'received and satisfactory'. Surely this can't mean that the underwriters have checked them already? Does it just mean that the document has been deemed acceptable and not, like, photoshopped or whatever?
Also, at close of play on Friday there was nothing in the 'Requested Documents' column. But now it says that they're requesting 3 month's payslips. These have already been submitted (obviously) but not yet noted as 'received and satisfactory' like the bank statements. Is this just their internal computer thinking 'ooh, it's been a couple of days since I've requested the payslips and nothing has happened'? Surely no human being has made that request over the weekend??
Is it normal for requests to sort of flash up and then disappear again as the process goes on and somebody reassures the computer that they have actually got the document?
Also, the valuation has already happened. On Friday there was a note left saying the rebuild value of the house has been deemed as X. Am I to expect some kind of further note saying 'valuation approved' or similar?
Thanks.

I really don't know why Lender provide these systems. They all seem to generate more questions than they supply answers.I am a Mortgage Broker

Yes your bank statements will have been signed off that quickly as they are one of the quickest documents to review. from what you have put, it sounds like they are completely signed off.
Also your payslips from the sounds of it have been received but not satisfactory so you should give nationwide a call when they are open tomorrow to see what is wrong with the document.
Also sounds like your valuation is fine too. You do typically get a message saying the valuation is satisfactory too so double check when they are open.0 -
Thanks both.
Amnblog, I am sure you're right, but as long as it's there I'll not be able to help myself checking it!
Turns out it was a query. They wanted to know what the salary sacrifice was (pension). That's now been verbally accepted and the payslips have been returned to the throng!
Valuation was satisfactory (phew), although no written confirmation of that yet.0
