Passport question

We are getting married in June and we have an 8 week gap between our wedding and our honeymoon. Since it seems like more paperwork to fill in if I wanted to renew my passport before the wedding and have it post dated, I was going to wait as it says it only takes about 3 weeks to renew a passport. I just wanted to know if this was still the case if I renew my passport with my married name - do I simply renew as normal and send my marriage certificate (and will I get this straight away)?

You can get it in advance with some paperwork to explain the name change or do renewal form and send in marriage cert and new photo (which i did having let my maiden name one expire) . Just because it usually only takes three weeks doesn't mean you can guarantee it.
Remember your name on passport has to match any flight tickets0 -

I waited almost a year to change mine, I did that first at my local passport office and then used my passport number to have my driving licence changed about a month before we went on honeymoon so we could both drive the hire car.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
