Removing default - how successful is this strategy

I Have discovered an old default on my credit file from February 2012 from T-Mobile.
The default was for £187.
How successful would a strategy like this be in getting the default removed http://www.learnmoney.co.uk/credit-file/remove_default_notice.html
Would t-mobile have keep the original agreements for so long and is the article correct?

Hi,
You don't sign an agreement for Mobile contracts.
Use of the phone, or SIM card, is seen as acceptance of the contract.
You can only get a default removed if :
(1) it was incorrectly recorded, for example, you did not default on the account.
(2) it was due to fraud.
(3) You agree removal of the default as part of a full and final settlement offer.
