Catching up on the iPad so apologies if the conversation moved on way beyond this, but the last time someone tried this on me in T when I was 'buying' a lot of something (those roast potatoes, I think), I smiled sweetly and suggested they voided them and I would be very happy to do multiple transactions instead. SA very quickly backtracked!

When I have multiple coupons for the same item I always ask the cashier how they want to do it first. The cashiers in S were always happy to take multiple ristorante coupons when I asked them first, but a couple of times I forgot to ask first and they were very reluctant.
