  • Had a go at Thai turkey burgers tonight and whilst I wasn't expecting much they were absolutely delicious (even if I do say so myself). I thought I would share in case anyone needs inspiration:)

It was a mix of different online recipes.

I pack of glitchy turkey mince
1 heaped teaspoon finely chopped ginger
    I clove garlic crushed
    2 spring onions finely chopped
    1 red chilli finely chopped
Zest and juice of 1 lime

Fry the onions, garlic, ginger and chilli until just softened.
transfer to a bowl and mix with turkey mince, lime zest and juice. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix together with hands and divide into 4 or 6 and press together to form burgers. ( I used a burger press).
Fry for 4 minutes or so each side until cooked through.

    Delicious :)

Had a right palaver this morning trying to place that CC order with A.

Kept saying there was a problem with my credit card. I tried another card and that wasn't working either. I had virtually convinced myself that my account had been suspended. I then became very indignant as I don't do many click and collects and haven't bought any of the air fresheners etc

Anyway long story short,my cards had been hacked. Yesterday there was a small transaction on each...one for a few dollars.....think that was PD but I've got no proof:o and the other was a £1 transaction for Ocado. Apparently they do small transactions first in the hope they will go through and then hammer the life out of the card.

The card companies had been trying to get hold of me yesterday but I think Mr TM had put the phone down on them thinking they were the usual cold callers:eek:

So new cards coming out in the post:)

I was asked if we had iphones and whether we had recently signed up for contactless payments. We haven't so that line of conversation ended. Unsure what the significance of that is. But if I was having a glass of wine tonight I would raise my glass to the credit card security guys who keep us all safe:)

I am thinking that having cards hacked is inevitable for everyone at least once however careful you are

It seems obsessive but I think checking your balances every few days and knowing exactly what is in your accounts and your last few transactions are is essential

This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time it's happened to us. Once a very nice donation was made to Oxfam on our behalf:eek:

I think it's very clever how our buying patterns are monitored. We had a very large payment go through without any problem the day before and yet a £1 payment to Ocado is picked up.

Thanks for the info on the M&S cafe card......we have a couple on the go:o
