You shouldn t have to spend money first. Is there any money on the card at all . If there isn t just throw it away and buy one from in the shop itself.
Update on this. I got my free cake in the Liverpool one. Apparently they don't give out cards now unless you top it up in store . Think £5 is the lowest amount. If you fetch your own cup it's 25p cheaper lol0 -

Came home from Liverpool to a freezer ful of stinking food , lovely. Might have been like that for a couple of days, it wasn t our main one but still. Yuk . So not a good day .
